Conditions of Entry for the Dry July Donor Challenge Competition (Competition)

1. These terms and conditions of entry, including information to enter and prize details (Terms), apply to the Competition and entry into the Competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms.

2. The Promoter is the Dry July New Zealand Trust, CC 48599, 42 Kerkwall Drive, Naenae, Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand 5011 (Promoter).

3. The Competition commences at 9.00am NZST on Monday July 29th 2024 and finishes at 11.59pm NZST on Friday 2nd August July 2024 (the Competition Period).

4. Entry is open to New Zealand residents only, 18 years and older (Eligible Entrants).

5. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website/s is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

6. Employees, contractors, suppliers and beneficiaries of Dry July New Zealand Trust including their immediate families are ineligible to enter

7. To be entitled to an entry, an individual, business or organisation must, during the Competition Period make a donation to the Dry July 2024 campaign at www.dryjuly.co.nz (An Entry).

8. Each donation made will entitle the donor to An Entry into the Competition.

9. This is the only way to enter the Competition.

10. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

11. This is a game of chance, the 20 winners will be randomly selected from the Entries within 3 days of completion of the Competition.

12. The winners will each receive a Woolworth’s $100 voucher, within 3 weeks of completion of the Competition Period.

13. The Promoter’s decision is final on all matters pertaining to this offer and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. Total Prize value is NZD $2,000.

15. The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

16. Winners will be notified in writing via email within five (5) business days of being selected and will also be published at ww.dryjuly.co.nz for a period of three (3) months.

17. If for any reason a winner does not take a prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.

18. The Promoter will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of, or in connection with, receiving, taking or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

19. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, nor for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, nor for any technical error, nor any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

20. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter uses the entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. If the entrant does not provide this personal information then they will not be able to take part in the Promotion. By entering the Promotion, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit with their entry being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment or other compensation to the entrant including sending the entrant electronic messages, and the Promoter may provide the information to organisations that assist the Promoter with promotional, marketing and publicity activities. All personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office.

21. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the prizes and these Terms and Conditions.

22. The Promoter collects information when people participate in programs, competitions, promotions or other services. The information is used for the purpose of administering the programs, competitions and promotions and for ensuring that the awards and prizes offered are appropriate. The Promoter will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. The Promoter will only provide your personally identifiable information to other individuals or companies when it is necessary in order to provide the product or service you have requested or to complete the competition that you have entered or when it is legally bound to do so. 23. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications (including any fringe benefits tax) that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Any tax liability arising, as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner.

24. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) taking and/or use of a prize.
